A still and dry red wine from the Costières terroir (near Nîmes, South of France, warm climate) which is covered by numerous round and red stones. Deep garnet with a violet rim. On the nose, the wine is open and generous, bursting with liquorice, red fruit, chocolate and olive notes. The palate is extremely fresh and fruity, with a dense and velvety texture.
When Pinotage is grown on the foothills of the Breedekloof (Broad Valley) the soil gives the wine a distinct red cherry aroma. By fermenting the wine slowly and at cool temperatures we create a soft, almost creamy mouth feel and lots of cherry, ripe plum with hints of chocolate and a tiny mocha zing on the finish - very balanced and moreish.
