One day, Martino and Maurizio Biscardo were talking about this new wine they had created. They agreed on the fact that the wine was something special, difficult to understand immediately but then all sensations are amazing, but again what name could be used? “Original”? “Strange”? “Unique”? “Unbelievable”? All those were difficult names in Italian without any strong sense in English. Then suddenly a brilliant idea: Enigma.

Deeply dense red colour with purplish hues. The intense and sumptuous bouquet appeals with its toasted and spicy notes, woven together with faintest hints of wild berry jam, mature plum, and raspberry. Full-bodied, broad and consistent on the palate, it reveals an important, smooth and well-balanced structure, which is perfectly integrated with mature tannins. With its long-lasting and full finish, it is ideal to pair with baked first courses, sliced beef steak, stewed meat and game or semi-seasoned cheeses.

This is seductively composed and enticing, showing dark berry, thyme, smoked game, earthy mushroom and roasted nut aromas on the nose. The sensually pleasing palate delivers fine flow and complex flavours, finishing wonderfully long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2030. - Sam Kim (Wine Orbit)

Our historical vineyard, Campo del Gatto (Field of the Cat) is an example of how we value and regard a fundamental grape in the Piedmontese varieties. Thanks to frequent vine thinning, in order to lower the yields and raise the quality, we were able to obtain excellent results. A powerful impact on the senses, with jammy and vanilla notes that fill your nose, and a great intensity and elegance on the palate.
