Dark violet with bluish reflections. On the nose it has a high impact intensity, with very fresh and fruity aromas reminiscent of fresh strawberries, raspberries, cherries, typical of carbonic maceration, combined with a soft hint of green notes that complete the profile of this wine. Juicy with sweet tannins, good natural acidity that provides very particular freshness, combined with a long finish. Making this wine very fresh and easy to drink.

With a long-standing history in Mendoza, Semillón’s best expression is achieved in cool, mild climates like that of Uco Valley’s, while Torrontés is Argentina’s single native grape variety.

This wine has personality and is also able to convey elegance and depth upon tasting. Barossa blood red colour with a purple hue. On the nose, super blackberries and pure unadulterated 90% Cocoa chocolate. Black plums, macerated raspberry with hints of cracked pepper and brambly spice. Generous dark fruits on the palate, a full and frank Shiraz start. Classic Barossa. Generous, flavoursome with sweet blackberry pie and dark, dry cocoa mouth feel. The after palate begins with sweet berry fruit then tightens up with fine fruit and oak tannin. Sweet Christmas spice cuts through the hints of jamminess. On the finish, youthful austerity as you would expect from such a classic, old-school Shiraz. We imagine drinking this wine with hard local chesses the cheese is optional.

One day, Martino and Maurizio Biscardo were talking about this new wine they had created. They agreed on the fact that the wine was something special, difficult to understand immediately but then all sensations are amazing, but again what name could be used? “Original”? “Strange”? “Unique”? “Unbelievable”? All those were difficult names in Italian without any strong sense in English. Then suddenly a brilliant idea: Enigma.
