Deeply intense red colour shows light garnet hues in the glass. The broad and long-lasting nose boasts violet, forest berries, spices and tobacco scents. The well-structured tannins from slow aging in oak barrels add structure, elegance and the right smoothness level to this wine.
This wine's Bouquet is ample and intense, with a fruity core of black cherries and blueberries, followed by spicy aromas of tertiary origin (i.e. deriving from aging) with notes of cocoa, coffee, tobacco and leather. On the palate, the astringency produced by the tannins and the freshness of the acidity are integrated with the natural sweetness of the wine. Overall harmonious, velvety, soft and long-lasting.

One day, Martino and Maurizio Biscardo were talking about this new wine they had created. They agreed on the fact that the wine was something special, difficult to understand immediately but then all sensations are amazing, but again what name could be used? “Original”? “Strange”? “Unique”? “Unbelievable”? All those were difficult names in Italian without any strong sense in English. Then suddenly a brilliant idea: Enigma.
