Duke's Vineyard Single Vineyard Shiraz 2022 - Porongurup, Great Southern - Australia
About this wine

A nail-biting finale to the 2022 growing season saw the vineyard lashed by fierce winds and rainy squalls. Yet the shiraz slowly developed both an array of dark fruit aromatics and lush, juicy fruit weight and developed fine and complete tannins, highlighting the granitic minerality of the site and the complexity formed by farming in a marginal yet consistent site.

    Critique Review
"A fruit-driven style, quite straightforward in its delivery of shiraz, showing off red- and black-berry fruitiness, sweet spice, some cinnamon and fennel spice elements, a touch of sea spray and truffle. Very pleasing, satiny texture with a building puckering grip. Good length of flavour too. All up, successfully delivers a pleasing, easy drinking, not particularly complex but medium-weight, spicy, bright fruited shiraz expression. Dig in."
