Description

The deep red colour of this young wine exhibits strong purplish hues in the glass. The fruity and vinous flavors weave together with enticing notes of violet, forest berries and cherry. This wine has a balanced, dry and slightly tannic palate, giving it a nice approachability and finesse.

How to pair it

Pair with pasta dishes, roasted red and white meats and soft cheeses.

The vineyards are partly located on the slopes of Monte Cetona, in the heart of the green hills and vineyards of the Tuscan district known as Valdichiana. They are placed in the southern-east part of Tuscany, far away from the coasts, under Cetona and San Casciano municipalities. The soil is composed mainly by calcareous clay and the main grape variety planted here is Sangiovese -supported by smaller quantities of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. These terrains derive directly from the deep sea wather that emerged during geological era of Pliocene. All the vineyard’s operations - from winter pruning, to bunch-thinning in summer are carried out by expert, local hands.

    Very affordable great tasting wine!

    Very affordable great tasting wine. I am not an expert but this tastes slightly on the sweeter side.
