Aromas of bright cassis and blue berry are supported by plum, black olive, fresh tobacco leaf, dark chocolate and truffle notes. The palate is both huge and velvety with the fruit and savoury notes held together by the Petit Verdot structure.

This Cabernet Sauvignon offers a harmonious aromatic balance of rich dark fruit like black cherries and blackberries, with subtle notes of fresh roses, cassis, vanilla, and black pepper. Its first taste is a delightful match to the nose notes, and it offers a full-bodied mouthfeel with satiny tannins and vibrant acidity that help orchestrate this wine’s complexity and long finish.
Riper and substantially more expressive than the 2018, Fortunate Son's 2019 Red Wine The Diplomat is a plush, luscious wine, laden with black cherries, mocha and loam notes. It's full-bodied, rich, velvety and supple, with a lingering finish, Like the previous vintage, it's mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, with a fair whack of Merlot. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

A very perfumed Sassicaia on the nose with forest floor, citrus and deep dark fruits. Blackcurrants. Cedar and black tea. Some balsamic. Pine needles. Full and very succulent. Really long, structured and complete. Tangy and energetic with a linear line of fresh tannins and acidity. Very Sassicaia throughout.
#N/Bin 707 perfectly reflects the Penfolds ‘House Style’ through a cabernet sauvignon lens: intensely-flavoured fruit; completion of fermentation and maturation in new oak; expressing a Penfolds understanding of multivineyard, multi-region fruit sourcing. Full-bodied and with proven cellaring potential, Bin 707 retains a secure place among the ranks of Australia’s finest cabernets.
