In the quest for distinction, the estate has been extended beyond its frontiers by including satellite plots several kilometres away: Alios 8 km (5 miles) away, Pierre Creusée 4 km (21/2 miles) away and others. Selected after thorough geological analyses, these satellite plots are ring-fenced and have soil types that are essential to produce truly great wines: clayey gravel, clayey limestone and asteriated limestone.
