Pale straw like colour. Typically floral bouquet, with strong pear, lime, lemon, and golden apple fruity, citrus aroma. Light and dry on the palate. As with most Proseccos, the bubbles almost expand or rather disintegrate into smaller bubbles on the palate, making the wine very smooth and almost creamy. Refined, harmonious, lingering aroma and sapidity.
Hills of Valdobbiadene, from 200 mt (600ft) to 400mt (1200ft) a.s.l. witha a southerly exposure. The soil is clay and calcareous.
Similar to etymology which gives an account of the entire history of a specific word, the Valdobbiadene area is undeniably intertwined with the history of the Valdo winery. The wine estate and its territory complement each other: every wine, every sparkling wine, every bottle contains a subtle aromatic note that evokes the flavor of vineyards growing on the hilly slopes of the Treviso province. A cut of cultivated land of about 18,000 hectars flooded with light which shines on the green slopes of this territory sheltered by the Dolomites to the north and subdued by the Adriatic Sea to the south.
Located right in the heart of the Prosecco D.O.C. production area, the Valdo Winery has been cultivating this unique grapevine for generations.
Valdo has two wineries locate over a 20,000 sqm surface area: the first winery is headquartered in the centre of Valdobbiadene where as Valdo’s historical centre the traditional production has been refined over its 80 years resulting in its present-day offering of unique and truly excellent sparkling wines. The second technologically advanced winery has been recently completed and is synonymous with excellence in sparkling wine culture where tradition meets innovation.
