Vineyard Info

Gilbert CHON and his Sons, owner-winemakers operate with care and passion over 60 hectares of vineyards in the greatest respect for traditional techniques, thus perpetuating more than three centuries of tradition. Mathurin Chon around 1719, left his native soil along Loire, settled in Saint-Julien-de-Concelles. From Burgundy plants "melon" more resistant and especially well suited to the climate of the ocean, he began the production of Muscadet. The Domaine has been created by the Chon Family at the begining of the XXth century. It is mainly defined by the sand the silt composing the ground. The presence of blue schist in the ground is really suitable to make elegant wines.
