CHATEAU CLERC MILON - PAUILLAC
CHATEAU CLERC MILON - PAUILLAC - Bordeaux, FRANCE
An intense purple with a violet tint, Clerc Milon reveals a powerful and warm nose of black fruit mingled with mineral, liquorice, violet and aniseed notes. The attack is full and precise. The creamy caress of the structure comes to the fore from the outset, displaying crisp and abundant tannins with a highly precise texture. Ripe fruit flavours fill the mouth, recalling the nose and bringing astonishing sapidity to a full and solidly rooted structure. Rich and elegant, the wine builds from mineral and roast coffee notes to a long finish, full of freshness.

Product Description
The history and the success of Château Clerc Milon are summed up in the legendary terroir of Pauillac, where some of the world's finest wines are made, but also in the prestigious neighbours, which are Mouton and Lafite, illustrious First Growths. Part of the vast estates of the seigneury of Lafite in the 18th century, Château Clerc Milon was sold as a "national asset" in the Revolution.
The Clerc family acquired it then and joined its name to that of the Pauillac hamlet of Milon where it was located. In 1970, Baron Philippe acquired the then badly neglected estate and decided to restore it to its status as a Classified Growth.
Nowadays reconstituted, the vineyard of Clerc Milon is located in the north-east of the Pauillac appellation, on the Mousset crest overlooking the Gironde. Thanks to the Baroness Philippine, Clerc Milon can boast technical facilities and reception areas worthy of its reputation.
