"Some pretty, juicy fruit with dried-strawberry and fresh-herb character. Hints of chocolate, too. Medium to full body and round tannins. Soft and fresh at the same time. Drink now." - 2019 vintage

Vineyard Info
Representing the 5th generation of the Bordeaux Lurton Family, Francois Lurton set up his own business in 1988 firstly with his brother Jacques. Today he runs the company single-handedly : owns and produces wines in estates in four countries : Argentina (Alta Uco Valley, Mendoza), Chile (Lolol, Colchagua Valley), France (Languedoc-Roussillon) and Spain (Rueda/Castilla y Leon & Toro).
Hacienda Araucano is located just outside the small historic village of Lolol in Chile’s Colchagua Valley. The climate is hot during the day and very dry but the oceanic breezes and morning fogs from the Pacific (only 40km away), cool the temperatures and make the area more temperate. Most of the rain (450mm per year) falls in winter months (so irrigation is needed). Temperatures fall to -2°C in the winter and rise no higher than 28°C in the summer months. Nights are always cool.
